"It was never my intention to have a Sanctuary for Wolves and Wolf-dogs. However, my experience is that there are
no accidents, and even coincidences may be best described as situations in which God chooses to remain anonymous."

:Our Mission

Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary (SFWS) was founded on a living, loving mission dedicated to the care of non-releasable rescued wolves and wolf dogs.

We do not breed, sell, trade or transfer them.

They have often been rescued from dire circumstances; many have suffered much at the hands of humans; others were simply discarded by their caretakers.

We believe they deserve a stable home for the rest of their natural lives with an abundance of loving and compassionate care.

No hunting, shooting, trapping or fishing is allowed on the privately owned land that is home to SFWS. We do not support the capture of wild animals.

SFWS has no paid staff and is grateful to the kind volunteers who choose to give their time and energy to help these beloved ‘creature people.’

Donations and sponsorships are very welcome and will be used to provide for the needs of our wolves/wolf dogs. Financial statements are available from the Treasurer upon request.

Educational programs are under development to involve young people, the elderly, those with developmental limits or physical challenges, as well as those interested in pursuing humane careers in animal studies.

The Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary welcomes, by appointment, community organizations, groups and individuals to visit and learn the truth about wolves' lives in nature and to learn why wolves and wolf dogs are not suitable companion animals.
